Since its start in 1998, the AGM has hosted a vast selection of both Swedish and international artists including top selling acts like Roxette, Per Gessle, Ed Harcourt Ulf Lundell, Gyllene Tider, Thåström, Bo Kasper Sundström, Moneybrother and more.

AGM is nestled in a beautiful rural environment in southern Sweden. The AGM is primarily an analogue studio with lots of vintage equipment and an two live echo-chambers. Lodging is close: "Gubbens hus" (The old man's house) is a three-room house with six beds, bathroom, shower, kitchen, micro wave oven and TV, within walking distance from the studio. Lodging at "Gubbens hus" is included in the studio price. Within 15 minutes journey, you can find all sorts of restaurants; from cheap pizzerias to high-class gourmet restaurants. A fully equiped kitchen can be found at "Gubbens hus". If you wish, good catering can be arranged at a low price. For quick lunch breaks, there is a small kitchen in the studio. More info about logisticts here.

The instruments: The Studio owner, Christoffer, has been a collector of ancient keyboards and all kinds of instruments since god knows when, and they are all functional and ready to use. Besides an impressive keyboard park, you will of course also find drums, guitars, basses, and a heap of strange devices that make funny sounds and look pretty cool. Full instrument listing here.

Acoustics: One of the main ideas with AGM is to be able to offer a spacious studio with numerous acoustic possibilities.
By combining complex acoustic science with creative hommade solutions, the two studio live-rooms together with two smaller booths can offer the whole acoustic spectrum, from a shoe-box to St. Peters Cathedral.
The sound is warm and woody and you can easily switch between recording with 100% separation or recording everything together in one of the bigger rooms. Christoffer also built two separate live echo chambers, one modelled after Western Recorders in LA (long decay, warm, smooth Beach Boys/Phil Spector type of sound) and the other after the early Motown toilet echo chamber (small, tiled room with creates a harder, shorter Motown type of sound).

Technical equipment: AGM is mainly an analogue studio crammed with retro-equipment or newly built custom retro equipment. It is actually a catalogue of rock historical references. There is a large collection of preamps, compressors, filters, tape-echos, plates, spring reverbs, microphones etc. However, this doesn't mean that we're totally unaware of the giant leaps technology has taken during the last few decades. Even though most recordings are made(preferably!) to tape, digital recordings can be made here, or as most artist choose to do nowadays, a combination of digital and analogue. Full gear listing here.

The Hangarounds: Loosely (or, in some cases, firmly) tied to the AGM is a team of creative people who'll gladly help you with your recordings if you wish.
We've got songwriters, arrangers, string- and horn-sections, programmers, backing singers and of course a couple of hundred guitarists, six drummers and one bassplayer who are all available at short notice.
